Carson Lee Fifer, Jr.
Carson maintains a diverse practice focused on land use and environmental law, real estate law, affordable housing and sports law. Since joining the firm in 1972, he has built a strong reputation for handling large projects and diverse land use approvals. He has managed numerous residential, commercial, industrial and institutional projects including regional malls, corporate parks and planned communities, a 1,100-acre office park of 26 million square feet, Springfield Mall, Fair Oaks Mall, 7-Corners Mall, and projects that have produced thousands of residential units.
He co-authored the first affordable housing ordinance in Virginia. He has also obtained approval for numerous institutional uses and for golf courses and other sports facilities, such as family entertainment facilities, community swim and health clubs and parks.
During law school, Carson was a member of the Raven Society and at Brown University, he was a member of Omicron Delta Kappa.
